ilili

MCN performed an interior renovation of an existing space to create a beautiful new restaurant and bar with a gourmet kitchen and storehouse. Ilili is a Lebanese restaurant that has been crowned the “Jewel of the Wharf.” This 6,261 square foot, $1.2M project was transformed from a glass cube into an exquisite courtyard. The interior of the space is inspired by the enchanting gardens found within the courtyards of longstanding Beirut homes. The space features high ceilings and an enclosed patio lined with trees and suspended birdcages filled with steel doves that hover seven feet above the ground.

Mobtown Brewing Co.

MCN Build renovated warehouse space in Brewer’s Hill in Baltimore to house Mobtown Brewing Co., creating the company’s first brick-and-mortar storefront. The unique space features colorful murals, repurposed timber, and pays tribute to the history of Brewer’s Hill.

Sweetgreen

Sweetgreen’s flagship store involved the renovation of the former Little Tavern burger ‘hut’ in Georgetown. MCN Build maintained the historically-designated storefront while transforming it into a modern and vibrant space. The store features reclaimed antique hickory throughout the interior, unifying the 500 SF space. MCN completed this build-out in eight weeks.

BToo Restaurant

MCN Build renovated this existing space to house BToo, a contemporary Belgian restaurant. This 3,000 SF restaurant in the heart of 14th Street features an open kitchen equipped with DC’s only Spanish-designed Josper charcoal oven, and an impressive wine cellar built into the staircase.

Janus et Cie

MCN Build completed the 6,000 SF interior fit-out of furniture wholesaler Janus et Cie’s Washington, DC flagship store. Nestled in an occupied retail/office building on one of the city’s busiest streets, the project features structural interventions to enhance flow, natural stone floors, green walls, and high-end finishes and millwork.

Vienna Shopping Center

MCN Build converted a former gas station into a vibrant marketplace that’s adjacent to one of the Washington, DC area’s most heavily traveled thoroughfares. Once drab and uninviting, this new Vienna Shopping Center is now a crisp, modern magnet for community commerce.

Vineyard Vines

MCN Build renovated existing retail space on Wisconsin Avenue to create Vineyard Vines’ flagship store in Washington, DC. The scope of work included abatement and demolition followed by a full modernization of the space with new building systems and high-end custom finishes.
